Being a professional horse shoe man and blacksmith for years, Ken began making knives out of old cross cut saws for friends who were trappers, hunters and fishermen. These knives are now made from number 1085 Blue Tempered Steel, which is superior to the old cross cut saws knives. The antler handles are from shed whitetail deer, mule deer, and elk. The scabbards are made from oil soaked Cowhide and grade A latigo for lace.
