Through eons of time, pre-historic Man has made their tools
from stone. From simple bone smashing hand held
choppers, to more elaborate clovis fluted spear points to more
modern arrowheads. The most prized of materials for
pre-historic stone tool development was volcanic glass known
as Obsidian. Flintknapper Dale Duby creates his
Obsidian knives using the same techniques used by pre-historic
man. Using only the finest Obsidian, Dale uses the
techniques of grinding, abrading, percussion and
pressure flaking to produce the blades in creating these
fine knives.
The handles are made from shed antler and real jaw bones.
Each knife somes with a certificate of authenticity and
display stand. Each knife is a one of a kind art piece
for the true collector of fine knives.
